Center for the Arts Rental Rates 2008/2009

Smothers Interrior

Pepperdine University Center for the Arts is available to rent for performances, meetings, or special events.  With 450 seats and just 15 rows, Smothers Theatre is an ideal space for dance, music, or theatre performances, or for lectures or meetings.  In addition to our state-of-the-art theatres, we offer technical services, ticketing services, and audience services to meet your needs and the needs of your guests. Our beautiful oceanside facilities are just 25 scenic minutes from the Westside or Valley areas.

Facility Charges

Smothers Theatre
(500 capacity)
$600 per day (one show)
$900 per day (two shows)
$300 per day (tech/rehearsal day)
Raitt Recital Hall
(118 capacity)
$300 per day (one performance)
$50 per hour
Lindhurst Theatre
(Capacity up to 200)
$300 per day (one performance)
$150 per day (rehearsal day)

 

FOR PROFIT DOUBLE ABOVE
Film Shoots $5,000 per day

 

Labor Rates (Overtime applies to all hourly rates)
Stagehands: $17 per hour
Technical supervisor: $30 per hour
Ushers: $17 per hour
Box Office: $17 per hour
Front of House Supervisor: $30 per hour
Box Office Supervisor: $30 per hour

Ticketing Services
5% of gross ticket sales, plus labor costs outside normal hours of operation.
Ticketmaster credit card charge on all tickets sold through Ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster fee of 10ยข per ticket printed.
$75 per performance to print tickets for group to sell. This does not apply if the box office sells all of the tickets.

Parking
$5 per car. Free in lower lot with shuttle.
Parking lot buyout available at $250 per show, plus attendant charges.

Piano Tuning
$115 per tuning.

Dance Floor Rental
$75 per piece.

On-Campus Users
No facility charge for University events. Labor charged at $10.00/hour. Box Office ticketing at 5% of gross.
