Adam Kossler
Adam Kossler, 28, was born in the United States. He began his musical studies with his father, William Kossler, and continued his training during college with Elliot Frank. He received his bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and went on to earn his master's degree at Appalachian State University as a teaching assistant to Douglas James. This year Kossler completed his doctoral studies at Florida State University, where he served Bruce Holzman as a teaching assistant. His doctorate of musical arts degree is to be awarded in May. Presently he teaches guitar in the Loudoun County, VA, public school system and performs regularly as a solo artist as well as with the Kossler Guitar Trio. Kossler has been a prizewinner in a number of guitar competitions, such as the Columbus State University Guitar Symposium (Georgia), East Carolina Guitar Competition, MANC International Guitar Competition (North Carolina), Texas International Guitar Competition, and Appalachian GuitarFest and Competition (North Carolina). He has also been a guest artist and/or clinician throughout the United States at festivals such as More Than Music, Music in the Mountains, Colorado Suzuki Institute, and the Talent Education Suzuki School.
