Julia Sinclair
Julia Sinclair was born in 1990 in the United States. She began taking piano lessons at the age of five. A year later, her father began instructing her as she learned to play the guitar. Though she began by playing classic rock music, she went on to take jazz and classical guitar lessons from Anthony Dumas. Since 2004, she has been studying with Douglas Rubio in upstate New York.
Sinclair has given a number of private recitals, and provided demonstrations at various New York schools in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, she was honored as an exceptional high school contestant at the D’Addario Classical Guitar Competition and also performed at the Guitar Foundation of America’s Youth Guitarist Solo Competition.
