The Flora L. Thornton Opera Program
Henry Price, Director
With the Pepperdine University Orchestra
Revenge might be “a dish best served cold,” but in Die Fledermaus it takes the guise of a sumptuous masquerade ball, where revelers are intoxicated not only by bubbling beverages, but also by the glorious music of the Waltz King himself, Johann Strauss, Jr. Mistaken identities and hilarious sight gags add to the merriment, making this one of the most popular comic operettas of all time. Two alternate student casts will perform. The "orange cast" sings on February 22 and 24 and the "blue cast" performs on February 23 and 25. Be sure to hear both talented casts! Sung in English.
