This Croatian guitarist took the Gold Medal and $30,000 cash prize at the 2012 Parkening International Guitar Competition on his 27th birthday, impressing the judges and audience alike with his scintillating performance of Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez. One of the leading guitarists of his generation, Petrit Ceku has won a slew of international competitions and released his first CD on the Naxos label in 2008.

The program will include Sonate Romantique by Manuel Ponce, two etudes by Giulio Regondi, Capriccio Diabolico by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Homenaje pour "Le tombeau de Claude Debussy" by Manuel de Falla, and Five Bagatelles by William Walton.
