This young jazz violinist's career has been a veritable crescendo of success that shows no sign of letting up. One of the most popular artists in modern music today, her sound is marked by eclectic virtuosity, heart, and a stunning fusion of the celestially classical and earthily modern. Also, we love the fact that she is a MacArthur Foundation "Genius Award" winner. "Regina Carter is a knockout violinist who leads a knockout band" (O magazine).
Carter’s combo includes Will Holshouser, accordion; Yacouba Sissoko, kora; Chris Lightcap, bass; and Alvester Garnett, drums and percussion.
