WAY OUT: Studio Art Thesis Exhibition 2026
Thursday, April 16–Saturday, May 2, 2026
WAY OUT features artwork by ten artists graduating as majors from the undergraduate studio art program at Pepperdine University. Participating artists include Inara Ali, Miriam Kim, Mason Turner, Daniel Subotnik, Julianna Thomas, Annelore Strenge, Harmony Houston, Grace Akiko Bidewell, Carlo Sebastian Gonzalez, and Samantha Escamilla Olvera.
The artists in WAY OUT utilize a variety of artistic media including painting, sculpture, installation, and digital media to critique the systems of power in which they operate, explore personal and public identities, and understand the human condition more fully. Resilience and passion are on full display in WAY OUT as this group of artists consider their time at Seaver and what lies ahead. For these artists, the only way out is through.
WAY OUT is organized by the Studio Art faculty in the Pepperdine Fine Arts Division, in collaboration with the Weisman Museum of Art.
