David A. Leffel
May 14 - August 7, 2016
In the 1960s, David A. Leffel broke with mainstream abstraction by reviving the art of the Old Masters. He studied Rembrandt's creative process and developed a powerful, personal style that explores the magic and mystery of light. This exhibition of over fifty paintings, his first major retrospective, spans the years from 1958 to the present, and reveals why he is regarded as one of today's great masters of traditional realist art.
