The Competition
Judging
Each guitarist will be judged in four categories:
- Musicianship – possible maximum score of 10
- Tone – possible maximum score of 10
- Technique – possible maximum score of 10
- Stage presence – possible maximum score of 5
Each day of the competition, the rankings of the competitors will be determined by the numerical sum of the judges' scores. On the third day of the competition the finalist with the highest score will receive the Gold Medal; the next ranking, the Silver Medal, etc. The scores from each day are not cumulative and will not carry forward, except in the case of a tie.
Judging will be by a panel of five international judges.
