Finals:
Any one of the following concertos is to be performed in the final:
- Rodrigo: Fantasía para un gentilhombre, Schott and Co. edition (approximate time 22 minutes)
- Rodrigo: Concierto de Aranjuez, Schott and Co. edition (approximate time 22 minutes)
- Castelnuovo -Tedesco: Concerto No. 1 in D Major, Schott and Co. edition (approximate time 20 minutes)
- Ponce: Concierto del Sur, Peer International Corporation edition (approximate time 25 minutes)
- Elmer Bernstein: Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra, Bernal Music "Themes and Variations" www.tnv.net (approximate time 22 minutes)
In addition to the concerto, finalists will present an encore piece of their choice, not to exceed five minutes. This encore piece may be selected from a previous round, or may be any other work that does not exceed five minutes.
The entire repertoire detailed, with the exception of the Bernstein which is available from Bernal Music, is available from Guitar Solo Publications in San Francisco.
