Pepperdine University Center for the Arts is available to rent for performances, meetings, or special events. With 450 seats and just 15 rows, Smothers Theatre is an ideal space for dance, music or theatre performances, or for lectures or meetings. In addition to our state-of-the-art theatres, we offer technical services, ticketing services, and audience services to meet your needs and the needs of your guests. Our beautiful oceanside facilities are just 25 scenic minutes from the Westside or Valley areas.

Shostakovich, Grieg, Rossini, Puccini, Mascagni, Bizet, Bernstein, Nimrod Borenstein, a British-French-Israeli composer whose compositions are premiering at the Royal Opera House and Royal Festival Hall in London, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, and Carnegie Hall.

Introduction to both concerts

LA Opera Artists and Plácido Domingo’s Artists join LA Virtuosi Chamber Players under the baton of its Artistic Director & Conductor, Olivia Tsui. The program includes warhorse pieces by Grieg, Shostakovich, and Mascagni, with arias by Mozart, Bizet, and Puccini.

To introduce diverse music to broader and younger audiences, the second half of the program presents a unique combination of world music of Persian, Jewish, Armenian, Kurdish, and Mediterranean Music.

Dance Star presents their sixth annual recital "Light Up the World." Dance Star is a glittering and dazzling dance studio located in the heart of Malibu in the beautiful and chic Malibu Lumber Yard overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Owned and directed by Charissa Seaman, Dance Star's goal is to instill great technique, exposure to several styles of dance, and to provide a safe and smiling place where students can have fun, be creative, and feel free to express themselves through dance. Dance Star offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and 'BOYS ONLY!' Hip Hop. Classes range from age 2 through high school.
