Bernard Kinsey and Edward Pratt in Conversation

Saturday, March 5, 2022 • 2PM

Join us for an eye-opening conversation between collector Bernard Kinsey; Kinsey African American Art and History Collection curator Larry Earl; and artist, art advisor, and historian Edward Pratt, who played a formative role in the development of the Kinsey Collection. Pratt will discuss some of the pioneering figures who collected and exhibited African American art in the early 20th century, creating an important precedent for the Kinsey Collection decades later.

Proof of vaccination/negative COVID test is required in Smothers Theatre. For more information about our current health and safety policies, please vist arts.pepperdine.edu/visit/.

The Cultivators: Highlights from the Kinsey African American Art and History Collection is on display at the Weisman Museum now through Sunday, March 27.
