Sonia De Los Santos at Family Arts Fest

Saturday, March 3, 2018

Family Arts Fest 11AM – 3 PM • Performances at 11 AM and 1 PM

Support for Family Arts Fest by California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and WESTAF

Enjoy a family-friendly day of art, food, and fun, featuring face-painting, museum tours, backstage tours, an interactive dance party, a magic show, and two performances by children's musician Sonia De Los Santos at this year's Family Arts Fest!

Hailed as "one of the Latin Children's music artists you should know" (Billboard), De Los Santos has been performing her positive, multicultural, family-friendly music with Grammy Award-winning group Dan Zanes And Friends since 2007. Singing in English and Spanish and playing guitar, mandolin, and jarana, De Los Santos' messages of joyful community, music making, and cultural bridge-building inspire and excite children and grown-ups of all backgrounds.

The day's other activities include dance parties with DJ Tossing T, exciting magic shows with Stephen Bailey, face-painting by Rainbow Painted Smiles , and a collaborative art project.

There will also be guided tours of the current museum exhibition, Alexis Smith: Private Lives and Public Affairs, as well as of Center for the Arts backstage areas, including the scene shop.

Food trucks scheduled for the event include The Original Grilled Cheese Truck, Chicken and Waffle Factory, Humble Crust Pizza Truck, and Recess Truck!
