Medea

presented by Pepperdine Theatre Department

April 4 - 7, 2018

by Euripides, in a version by Ben Power, directed by Bradley Griffin

I choose to take back my life.
My life.

Medea is a wife, a mother, and an immigrant. When her husband abandons his family for a new life, she exacts an appalling revenge and destroys everything she holds dear. First staged at the Theatre of Dionysus in Athens, Greece, Medea has intrigued and terrified audiences for nearly 2500 years. Ben Power's version of Euripides' tragedy premiered at the National Theatre, London, in July 2014. Pepperdine's production will feature an original musical score by Professor of Music N. Lincoln Hanks. This production is not recommended for children under 12.

Join a talk back with the actors and director after the Wednesday performance.
