About Eric Wang

Eric Wang, 15, is from San Jose, California, and started classical guitar at age 4. He is currently studying under Robert Miller at California Conservatory of Music. Wang is the 1st prize winner of the 2018 Guitar Foundation of America's (GFA) International Youth Competition, Junior Division. During the same GFA competition, his ensemble at the California Conservatory of Music won the 1st prize of International Ensemble Competition Large Ensemble Youth Division. Wang has had many master classes with distinguished guitarists such as David Russell, Zoran Dukic, Nicholas Goluses, Marcus Tardelli, Ian O'Sullivan, and Montenegrian Guitar Duo. He was recently invited to a master class with Maestro Manuel Barrueco for precollege guitar virtuosos. Wang is also the 1st prize winner of many competitions in addition to GFA.
