About Garrett Podgorski

Garrett Podgorski, 17, is from Burbank, California, and started taking guitar lessons at the age of 9. His first teacher was Janet Robin, a worldrenowned electric guitarist and former student of the iconic Randy Rhoads. By the age of 11, Podgorski became an artist for Taylor Guitars, Schecter Guitars, Fender Guitars, and Gibson Guitars. At the age of 15, Podgorski released his first album, Limitless. Christopher Parkening heard Podgorski's album and invited him to audit the Parkening master class at Pepperdine University in February 2017. Inspired by the experience, Podgorski switched his focus to classical guitar. In November 2018 he won 1st prize in the Gohar and Ovanes Adriassian Classical Guitar Competition at California State University, Los Angeles. He also performed at the competition's master class for David Tannenbaum.
