About Maggie Grether

Maggie Grether, 16, started playing guitar at the age of 5 and has studied at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music under Felix Bullock and Connie Sheu. In addition to playing in master classes for guitarists such as Pepe Romero, David Russell, Scott Tennant, and Andrew York, Grether won 1st place in the Plucked Division of the 2018 Classics Alive competition. Grether has been a member of the Sonos Quattuor guitar quartet for five years, and in 2017 the quartet placed 3rd in the Guitar Foundation of America youth ensemble competition. Grether is also a member of the Los Angeles Youth Guitar Orchestra (LAYGO), and has traveled to Germany twice to tour with LAYGO and Sonos Quattuor in exchange with Guitarreando and the Stuttgart School of Music.
